At this year’s Annual United States Air Force Annual Design Awards program, Catellus Development Group was recognized for its contributions to the development and design of the Systems Acquisition Management and Support (SAMS) complex at the Los Angeles Air Force Base. Catellus is a mixed-used development company and subsidiary of ProLogis (NYSE: PLD).

SAMS is a state-of-the-art, 545,000 square foot office compound for the Department of Defense. It was recognized by the USAF Design Awards for being aesthetically pleasing while remaining technically efficient, incorporating design elements that complement the location and that are mindful of sustainable concerns.

Executives from Cogdell Spencer Inc. and its subsidiary Marshall Erdman and Associates, rang the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange on July 28, 2008, unveiling its new Erdman logo. Doctor coats and bow ties were worn as a tribute to the companies’ founders, Jim Cogdell and Marshall Erdman.
